Marcos de Mira, Prado Museum.

Workshops · Papercut · Collective work · Art · Instalation · Exhibition

A social and educative action project whose objective is to open a space for an artistic dialogue with communities in precarious living conditions. Observing selected works during aesthetic walks through the Museum, the participants look for symbols and icons that they identify with. Through simple paper cutting games, they then draw and paper cut a symbol to capture the experience of the workshop and the inner artistic dialogue it initiated within. These symbols are hung  on a collective “tree of life” and activated with shadow play as an invitation to share a few words in storytelling format with the rest of the group.
